Aaaarrrghhh! (or alternately, Yaarrghhh!): Boy, that's exciting!
Aft: To the rear
Ahoy: Yo, hello, pay attention now please.
Avast: Stop
Aye: Yes!

Blimey: Oh my gosh!
Booty: A naughty-sounding way to say "treasure"
Thrown in the brig: Jailed
Buccaneer: Type o' pirate, usually one in the Caribbean
Commandeer: To steal, especially a ship

Dog: An insulting way to refer to a person
Fore: To the front
Jolly Roger: The pirate's skull and crossbones flag
Keelhaul: To drag someone beneath the ship, from one side to the other. The barnacles on the ship's bottom would flay the victim's flesh. A thousand times worse than walking the plank.
Landlubber: Someone too fearful to sail
Limey: British sailor
Matey: Friend or fellow pirate
Me hearties: My crew, my mates
Plunder: Steal
Poopdeck: Um, that would be the raised deck at the rear of the ship

Salty: Experienced in the ways of the sea
Scallywag (also scalawag): Rascal, ne'er do well
Scurvy: Insulting adjective, refers to a disease brought on by vitamin C deficiency
Shiver me timbers: Oh my goodness! How frightening/amazing/exciting!
Starboard: To the right
Swashbucklin': Quite with-it, daring and stylish

Cruises are ok but I always found them a tad boring. It's more fun to do the sailing yourself.

True, but it's my mom's super fear of sailing after seeing all of the crashes on the Discovery channel. On day I'll be doing the sailing myself though.

Thanks for the info Pirata! I saved that to word for further reference!
