Pipe selection

I bought a sirio .18 motor that I put in my tmaxx. it tuned up pretty nice but I think I could get a little more out of it with a tuned pipe.

Anyone know what pipe would give the best output for this setup?
only used for bashing but I've got a pretty gnarly spot to bash right by my house.

What pipe do you have now? I've got the same motor in my Maxx with a cast aluminum "banana" pipe. Seems to be ok, but I'm interested in ideas for a better one too.

I've got a CVEC self tuning pipe but haven't tried it on this truck. Also heard that the Fantom pipe is good, anyone with experience with one of these? 2 inquiring minds want to know!

The pipe that sirio made for the maxx seemed to work well with the .18. The CVEC pipe is just garbage in my opinion. Didn't work on anything I tried even with changing tuning, the thing inside the pipe... Just didn't run right with that thing.

that "banana" pipe is actually an awesome pipe, you need to do some tuning. those things arent called "banana pipes", although i can't think of the actual name of it. if you dont want it. send me a pm. i've got $5 shipped for it

the sirio big bore pipe or the Fantom racing pipe will make that sucker move better.....The fantom is alittle tougher pipe but costs alot more than the sirio...I sold a sirio pipe for 20 bucks shipped a few months ago....you should be able to fins em pretty cheap in the F/S thread or check on flea bay

i had a sirio tx18 or 18tx in my maxx about 4 years ago. non stop wheelies on the stock pipe

right now I just have the stock 2.5 pipe that came with the truck. I'm sure any of the big bore pipes would help alot.

I'll check in the fs section for something.

those things arent called "banana pipes",

What they are called depends on who you talk to. I got the term from my LHS expert, been around a LONG time and knows his stuff. That is the old school term for it.

Never said I was done tuning it, in fact I don't even have 2 tanks of running after break-in.
