picco p3 in savage xl

So I'm replacing the crappy 5.9 (grrrrrrr) in my xl with a picco p3 and i noticed that the stock exhaust manifold is big for the picco. So i took the gasket of of the 5.9 and noticed it has a ring I'm the middle where it is thicker. I then put hight temp silicone gasket maker on the exhaust port on the picco and slid the 5.9's gasket on the picco to make a tighter seal. Will this work, and if not what manifold do i need to use to connect the p3 to the stock xl's muffler?
 
The standard HPI purple gaskets should make it all fit no problem.
You want to get the most from that engine, install an Ofna 086 pipe. It will be a HUGE gain in power from bottom to top.

I ran those with a smaller port engine on a savage header and they were quite a bit thicker. Where you see the rib in the gasket you have, these don't have. They are pretty much the same thickness if that rib was as wide as the entire inside of the gasket.
 
The set up for the gasket I'm using is working fine. But if i need to replace the gasket i now know what to get, thanks much. Ok so with the ofna 086 i can get more power out of the picco..... The picco compared to the 5.9 , well the picco utterly destroys the 5.9, if i had anymore power in the xl i would put wings on it and watch it take off to thy sky. I've been breaking the picco in heat cycling it as rolex has described. All i have to say is OMG this motor SCREAMS!!!!!! Why wouldnt HPI put a motor like this in the xl, from whe list price of the two motor the picco is cheaper too.
