I've heard both have great performance reviews but not sure what one would be best for the revo 3.3.also does anyone have either of these motors on theyre revo? Are they dropp in motors or is there mods that need to be made? Does the flywheel, nut, and clutch bell and assembly match up. My piston and sleeve are trashed and wanted to upgrade the in stead of throwin 85 bucks into the exsisting 3.3 motor. Any suggestions?

Niether are "drop in's". They require a BB conversion kit and new header/pipe.

The wasp 28's of past years were noted as tough to tune well. When tuned, decent power ensued, but getting the tune right was a pain.

The Picco and LRP28 are two engines that are very similar with the picco having a bit of edge over the LRP in HP and RPM range. However, it's not as easy to tune as the LRP and costs a bit more.

I know the LRP wasn't one of the two your interested in, but it's a really great engine and for the price, can't be beat.

???

So i f i get the picco .28 or lrp what mods would i have to make. Sorry just knew to this and dont get the short talk.thanks

You would need a BB conversion. I don't know of many that are truely universal, I only really know of one. The New Era leaner mount:

Which will in turn require either a side exhaust system or a new rear exhaust system.
New Era's rear exhaust with a 21 pipe or Trinity's full exhaust/header set should work.

New Era header:

Pro-line complete exhaust:

I have the NE BB conversion. It worked fine and the engine mount was made well. I made my own throttle wire though. The one that came with it was kind of soft.

Willing to sell it since I no longer have a revo... $35 shipped US:

Here's what it looked like with a duratrax warhead header/pipe installed on the revo with an Axial 28:

I ended up running an XTM 24.7 in it though. More than enough power for something as light as the revo. Wheelies all the friggen time. Got down right annoying! I should have geared it a few teeth taller to get more speed out of it. But where I had to run it, was mostly short run stuff, so taller gearing didn't work out well. It was too fast as it was!

The duratrax warhead header worked really nicely, was long enough and bent well enough to allow the pipe to set level and not look too weird. Running a side pipe opens the door to allowing you to run many different pipes vs running a rear exhaust. Also, the side pipe is less susceptible to rear landing damage. With it nestled in closely to the chassis, it was pretty much worry free.

Let me know if you want the engine mount. I'll open up a FS thread for it so we can deal with feedback appropriately.
