Can you purchase a picco .26 red dot in the form of an ezstart or just the pull start? If you can't buy a ez start version for the Revo can you take off the pull start? How is that done? Is it considered a big block engine? Thanks:)

I dont think you can buy a Red Dot with an Ezy start backplate...
I will look into it for you
And yes it is considered a big block...

The ezstart hooks up to the picco with no mods just use the traxxas OWB(one way bearing)

Olds is correct it is NOT a big block because it will fit in the place of a small block engine. So yes I would have to say Mid-block. Kind of like a Chevy 400ci engine. It is the displacement of a some big block engines but is the physical size of a small block engine. Are you talking about getting the engine with the whole starter motor and everything? Nope never seen one like that but you can get one with out the pull start though.

I dont know for sure since i dont own one(yet), but i did a massive amount off research on the EZ start (I'm considering the purchase off a rustler 2.5) and as far as i can tell u should buy an engine with pullstarter then modify it to the EZ start. Which normally shouldnt cause any real issues, except maybe for the fixation points... One thing I'm rather sure about is that if you buy one without the pullstart it normally shouldnt be able to install the EZ start.

But again I'm talking ideas and written info here, no real expirience placing a EZ start on any engine.

I have a picco reddot the trx 3.3 and 2.5 pullstarts fit it and the ez start fits right on 100% guarantee

Yeah the .26 comes in a "pullstart" and "ez start" version. In other words the ez start version does not include a pullstart, it's that simple.

+1. The ez start has a real hard time cranking the .26 over though. Pre-heating helps out considerably. Make sure you use a 3000mah+ battery in the wand. A separate ignitor is a must also.

ya the ezstart glow lead wouldnt work for me had to use seperate and yes the picco suks the battery down fast in the ez start wand

If I have a 5000mah NiMH battery, should that be okay to start it with lots of charge to spare? Even though it sucks a lot of juice as you say?

what sort of engine mount are people using. where would i find a new era mount. are the traxxas mounts fine or OFNA? thanks in advance

the new era mount is your best bet, the traxxas one is good also i have heard bad things about the ofna mount its casted and has a tendency to crack
