Pic file size

You'll need to find some sort of image editing program like PhotoShop or PaintShop Pro. Within those programs there are tools which help you resize your images.

I can't remember if it was here or somewhere else, but someone sent me to this website: http://www.virtualzone.de/resizer/

After figureing it out, I really like it. I take a crapload of pics, rename them to my liking and send the output from the program to a different folder and voilà -> Resized!

I was using paint shop pro to change the files one at a time... very time consuming. This thing does as many as you want all at once and spits them out. You can also set it up so it changes the file name on the way out. That way, you can have the large and small files. I just convert and delete the larger ones.

Allowable file size is 640x480. In a photo program, such as Photoshop, click on 'image' then 'file size' and change it there.
In case it's still too large to be acceptable for the gallery, reopen the pic in your photo program, then click 'save as' (using the same file name). You will get a prompt telling you that the file already exists, and do you want to overwrite it. Click 'okay'. Now, if it's already at 640x480, you need to change the Jpg compression there. Instead of 'large file' at maximum of 12, reduce it by using the slider to a smaller file, till it's no more than 130 Kb.
