I think it was Jon2 that had this site mensioned in another thread.
http://photobucket.com/
I've heard others mensioned. Could you post a link to any of them?

What is better, or worse about the diferant sites? Like I think I read befor that RCPics woun't let you link to your pics, unless the veiwer is also a mamber, or something. Also, is the free stuff enough space, and what not to use, or is it alot better to use the paid package?

What's the low down on this stuff??????

Then you just delete one to post a new one all the time?

none of my pics in there are of a mustang, I don't even own a ford product! But thats a topic for another thread.

Yeah, I guess so. I'm just doing a little research. Going to buy a digi cam soon, and thought I would look into photo hosts, and see which one is the easiest to use, and best for free if possible. Maybe if I really get into it I donate. Any sites do pics and video?

I have my own host but I tell everyone looking to host Free pics to check out

http://www.imageshack.us/

You can use that as is or sign up for a FREE ACOUNT and keep trace of your pic's.

You can hotlink to clickable thumbnails. full images etc.

Even give the code so all you do is COPY and PASTE for the newbies who dont know how to post pictures.

For 5.00 a month or less you can get a hosting package from a reliable company.
Host all the photos you want without andy restrictions.

I honestly don't see any reason not to do this. You will also get you own domain name and e-mail addys. Just seems like such a great value.

Or they could use the free site and use the 5 bucks a month to donate to RCNT LOL J/K

If you don't need or want your own domain name or e-mail addy the free sites are ok. If you are actively posting photos and movies the free sites will limit you.

Otherwise DONATE!

I always forget is it Kosher to link your gallery photos in your post? I try not to for bandwidth purposes. I have my own host and a free one that I use most times.

Everytime I try to upload a pic to the gallery it says the pic is too big. I downloaded something called JPEG Resizer, and I don't think it does anything, because it still says the pic is too big.

For now the thumbnails I can post from Image Shack do the trick for me. I'm sure I'll want to do more in the future, but I'm excited to have figured that out for now. :2cents:
