i have just had an idear of taking the engine of my 43cc petrol scooter/minimoto and turning it into a rc car:\ ,makeing a frame, useing the radio gear from my old rc car would this work will it be hard to do?
what will i need i.e metal , what wheels
any help please i want something to do over the summer holidays:D

thanks lewis

it wouldnt be hard at all if your good at fabricating
i made a paintball gun into remote control for a friend, it used a tripod and rc trigger, it was pretty wicked, sat on top of a tripod

i would use tires from something like a savage or lst, something big, and diffs from cen genesis, nemesis, etc, would handle the power of that engine, i hope you have a big wallet:)

You may want to look at the hpi baja 5b to see what is involved with that kind of power, they only use a 30cc motor (some a little less) and they have huge diffs that put all 1/8 scale parts to shame as well as MUCH stronger steering servos. It can be done just make sure you have a look at other things in that category before basing it too much off of "normal" monster trucks

hmm ok about the difs it was just gona be a paly car for a few weeks then i would have to build the scooter back up, and was thinkin just havin rear wheel drive and just using a chain and sprocets(abit like a go cart)
