high guys do you think an fg 23cc or 26cc engine will fit in a savage?

i can widen the tvp's out so there is more room in between the tvp's but will the truck have to be extended? (i have the fastlane tvp's so they are 1.5 inch longer than the stock tvp's)

i have the k4.6 in my truck at the moment what will the speed be like with one of these engines in.

and if you dont think one of these will fit is there any other petrol engines that will fit in that dont need to be tuned and start eaily.

if you think it could be possible i can start this project

thanks andy

Yes I think it would be possible with a huge amount of mods, however the petrol engine cannot compete in RPM (doesn't even get close to a nitro) but does have a whole load more torque (nitro engines have little, hence why you can stop one with your thumb on the flywheel) so the gearing would have to be altered beyond belief. I say for the money its not worth it.

Just sell the sav and get a FG
- Have you seen how much bigger the petol engines are.
- How much chuncker the whole car/transmistion is?

It like saying "can a put a Perkins CV12 in a jeep"
(the CV12 is the engine used in the chalenger tanks)

Unless you want to be the guy that everyone goes "dude that guys got a weedwacker engine in his savage" then no, it might make an interesting crawler, if the clutches are insanely durable compared to their nitro counterparts. If you were to build it, then it would be really for the "wow" factor rather than it being practical, but hey it would still be neat.

Jet cars are not exactly what you call practical but they're still cool.

I think itd be cool, but not exactly for Racing purposes, would be a good tractor pull vehicle.

Everyone thought It'd be stupid to put a 540 sized motor in my Mini-T, but I did it and now I'm the shiznit at the track...

where would you mount the engine?? Its tight enough between the TVPS with the stock mill. Not saying it can't be done, but after all the mods and work into it, I dont think you could even call it a savage afterwards,
