Ok so I have been doing a lot of research both on this site and others and I wanted to get some opinions on parts for my Tmaxx 2.5 (with a 3.3 on the way for it). I'm not looking to build an ultra tough 30 foot high jumper or anything. It will be a mild to medium basher, nothing crazy. I am looking to upgrade the following and I am not sure on what the good and not so good name brands are. Can you throw some name brands and maybe links my way?

Drive shafts (all the way around the truck).
Faster, better servos.
Hump pack.
I have read that the big bore shocks are good?
Any parts that you would recommend changing for added strength in certain areas (Bulkheads etc etc) as I have seen different opinions on this and would like some more edjucated and experienced advise.
Also has anyone ever tried fuel foam in the tank to help with bubbles getting into the fuel line from sloshing?
I am open to any suggestions. I don't mind spending some money on the truck but again I'm not looking for the most expensive biggest baddest parts out there. If I upgrade something and it doesn't work well enough then I will go bigger. As it stands I have a pretty much stock 2.5 and will be adding a new 3.3 to it (I know you guys aren't fans of the 3.3 but this is my starting point). I know there are some weak points in the truck from what I've read so far which is why I'm looking around for some of these things. Any info is a plus!!

FLM, GPM, Golden Horizons, RC Solutions - Bulks/Chassis Braces
Have heard Hi-tec or Futaba makes good servos
MIP - Driveshafts ...not sure if you can get for the 2.5, but good brand

Aluminum down the middle and plastic (RPM) on the arms, bumpers.

I have also heard and read that the Big Bores are good shocks for the price.

A good not too expensive servo to use for t/b and steering would be the hitec 985MG. Fast, pretty strong and water resistant. Been using them for a long time.

As for driveshafts, you may just want to look into seeing what it takes to make your 2.5 maxx 3.3 spec instead. On my revo, I run stock diffs and axles with an LRP28S3 in it. They hold up just fine, so would assume the maxx 3.3 versions would hold up for you too and can probably be found on ebay pretty cheap.

Theant has you on the right path. Alloy "core", RPM outers, lunsford hing pins/turnbuckles if you can afford it.

I have the classic with 3.3 in it, and I run it with stock classic driveshafts and have not yet run into any problems. I dont think that it is really necessary to upgrade the driveshafts right away unless you are going to upgrade to a bigger motor than the 3.3. My plan was to save my money for now, and upgrade the driveshafts when something breaks. I just focussed on upgrading the chassis components first for strength and better durability (Golden Horizon bulks, Golden Horizon chassis braces, and RPM skids), and I will upgrade everything else when it breaks.

Although, a hump pack and t/b servo will be my next upgrade, and I'm not going to wait for something to go wrong with either of those before upgrading!

Ok then. If you haven't had any issues then I guess I'll just run this thing with the stock shafts and see how it goes. I'll start throwing money at the chassis and control arm upgrades for now. Thanks for the responses guys it's nice to have some help while I'm trying to find my way around my new hobby.

Good plan. Lets see some pics of your upgrades when you are done! Dont forget, if your not sure of the quality of a part or which one is best, check here before you buy. Stay away from Integy!!!

I have seen that everywhere on this site (stay away from integy). What are the reasons why? Do they just make a weak product?

Apparently the Integy parts break and bend much easier than other brands. Never had any Integy parts on my Maxx, and dont plan to get any either! Like you, I saw that everywhere when I first got going, and followed what I had read. It just isnt worth spending all that money on something that might fail on you, and I dont think that they back up there parts with a warranty.

Ahhh ok I hear you. Yeah I'm going to do the same. I figure if the experienced guys stay away from it (ALL of them) then there must be a reason. Well I guess I have a plan now. Time to start spending lol.

Thanks again for all your input.
