Paint for Lexan

I have a new body that I want to paint. What type of paint do I need? I have used Testors model paint on my plastic models, so I figured that would work for the lexan too. I asked the lady at the LHS and she didn't know what lexan was so she couldn't tell me if it would work.

You want to use paints made for Lexan applications.

Pactra is made by Testors. GREAT stuff! Sticks like nails. However, it is acrylic which means you dont want to spray it in your house. Unless you want to pass out or blow something up.

I've tried the testor's paint on my bodies before and it goes on really thin and has a tendency to run and not stay on for very long. You're better off getting some of the paints listed above.

I have used Testors paint on a couple of my bodies and never had a problem with it running. You do have to put 3 or 4 coats on it in order to cover the body without being able to see threw it. The problems I get when I used Testors is that after it has completly dried, the paint was to crack and peel right off the body. Christian gave you some good links to check out. The only Testors model paint I use is the transparent colors and I use those for tinting my windows. The transparent paint goes on good with no cracking and it also looks good to.
