StrechM,

what kind of low/top end will 65/23 give me?
i'm running 70/23 and it's a " beast" on both low & top end?

very responsive, wheelie crazy on 1/4-1/2 throttle.

It will more than likely be faster but a little less responsive.

Changing the spur has less effect than changing the CB. Don't get me wrong, it does have an effect, just not as much.

On the spur, your 70. If you change to a 65, that's only a 7% change.

It would be like changing your CB from a 21 to a 23 (8% change).

By reducing the size of the spur gear you will eliminate some of the wheelie issue at 1/4-1/2 throttle. You will also reduce the load on the trans. A little slower out of the hole, a little faster on the top end. More controllable on the start. As for actual mph I have no clue nor have I have never clocked an rc. If my memory serves me correctly RRP makes a steel 65t and a plastic 66t spur that fit the emaxx slipper plate. Both would work and you would have a slight difference in ratios. I went through several combos of spur/cbs before I was finally satisfied. The best one that I ended up with was a 54t spur from an eBay seller: MS.DUSTY'S ATTIC that matched the 12-18t buggy cbs. I sold the tmaxx that it was on and it had an Outlaw .26 in it.
