K my sons .15 tmaxx wouldnt start and sounded " different"
so i took it apart today and first thing i noticed was the one way bearing hung on shaft. Figured thats probably why it wouldnt start(could be wrong though, I am new to nitro) So how can i get it off? have tried prying a little with flat blade screw driver with no avail, didnt want to pry to hard was afraid i'd break something.

thanks in advance for any advice,
Shaun

Sometimes the only way to get a OWB off a shaft is to take the back plate off and tap the starter shaft through the OWB with a drift and a light hammer

Thats worst case scenario though...

Try soaking it with a release agent, or, better still, hose it some with a drop of WD40.

If all that fails, you may find a pair of mole grips on the OWB would help release it maybe.

I have used all the above methods, as and when needs dictated, so i'm not stating things i would not do myself.

It's just a couple extra idea's for you......

Your best bet is to pull the back plate and pitch the whole assembly in the trash. A new plate, starter shaft and owb isn't very exspensive for that engine. Usually the starter shaft is worn to cause the owb to bind on it and a new owb will prematurely slip making starting more difficult.

thanks all

I tried all kinda lubes and penetrating sprays today with no luck, put shaft in vise and wrench on owb and had to turn it off, figured shaft was toast now too since hung, it feels smooth but i know it prolly aint

thanks for help
