If I am breaking in a new OS TR should I be concerned with the air temp outside & how it affects temp of engine during breakin??

Try not to break it in when it s cold outside because it can cause premature wear on the piston and sleeve.......Nick

It's preffered that you break in when the ambient temp is above 50F. The whole point of breaking it in is the wearing of parts and heat cycling. If the temp of the engine never reaches 200 while the engine is set relativly rich, your not getting it hot enough. Just by leaning it out to get higher temps isn't going to help you. It will actually wear it out faster and you will end up with a weak engine. Also, if the engine temp drops to fast during cool down periods, you risk warping of the piston, con-rod and sleeve. All of which is very much bad.
