Hey guys,
I have been having this problem with my 1/8th diffs. They arent going to fit into my fastlane bulkless because the outdrive cups are too wide. They are almost the size of the outer bearing race, and the hole in the bulkless is too small... If i drilled it out, there would not be enough material there to hold the bearings in place so i need to find a new outdrive. I have looked on towerhobbies, but havent really found anything. I believe these are ofna-based diffs. They are the 8-spider UE diffs. The outdrives go into the diff and lock in there with a pin, so there is no way to install it differently (it has to be installed assembled). The drive cup is moulded into the outdrive shaft, so i can't take it off and assemble it like a normal t-maxx diff... Anyone know of an outdrive shaft/cup that would fit? I can get measurements if you need them... I have also emailed UE and Fastlane about the problem and have yet to get a response.
Thanks for the help.
Well, i sat down and thought about it, thinking of solutions and i think i may have the answer. I can drill a hole in one side (with my drill press) and make it so i can access the screws from the outside. That should work perfectly. I will fill the hole with silicone or a screw or something, and it should work perfectly. I will let you guys know how it goes.
