This is the question I have. It could be part of the break-in but I’m not sure. I’m on 9 tanks now and holding the temps at 200 on my ostr12, and it seems to have a load=up problem. I’m running decently rich, but when I let it idle, this thing loads up like I’ve never seen anything load up before. I have a good smoke trail only while giving it gas not at an idle. If I lift the rear wheels on it and gradually give it gas till I reach full wot it clears itself up until it sets at idle for a few then back to the same thing again. What do I need to do to change this?

This sounds like a classic case of needing to adjust the LSN. Turn in (right) on the LSN 1/8th of a turn and give it another try. From the sounds of it you may be 1/4 to 1/2 turn to rich.

Do the pinch test to get you in the right aria and fine tune from there. You will see a noticeable increase of low end torque, longer idle and you will get up to speed quicker.

I’ll give it a try and see what happens. How many tanks did it take to completely break- in yours.

I'm not sure - simple fix - LSN is too rich. Lean it out to solve the problem. same problem on my cv-r with a slide carb. u are using the same carb as me (10A) - they run very lean on the LSN.

Its the same as most engines, it just keeps getting better and better till about a gallon or so. I race tuned mine at around 12-15 tanks.

Still have not tried it yet haven’t had the time my son is getting tired of waiting on me to break it in. he’s ready to go to the track but I’m still on the break in. I will finish it this weekend hopefully we will go to the track next weekend if everything goes well. This thing sucks the fuel down in no time 6 or 7 80 yrd passes and it is time to refuel. So 12 to 15 tanks should not take long. Thanks for the input.
