I'm having some issues where the motor wants to stall after about 5:30 of hard racing. As soon as i let of the gas to check the temp the car idles down then flames out. It was running fine up until the last 2 race nights. I tried running cold, medium and hot plugs with no change. Again this the OS RG .21 w/Nova cooling head and Odonnels 20%.

I forgot to add that I have about 1/3 of a tank of fuel after the 5min and the motor temp is 209 degrees.

If you're running hard for 5 minutes and you're at 209, you need to lean out the HSN a bit. Get it to about 240, and I know you'll see a difference.

I'm a little concerned about running it that hot. This motors never really blown a lot of smoke, and the Nova cooling head made a huge difference. I feel if I try leaning it out more, the motor wont get enough lubrication.

209 is low. even with a diff head you can still run it to about 240 and not really worry about heat. you shouldn't really worry too much about smoke tune it to temp then adjust from there. also make sure your not too lean on your lsn because that will head your engine up fast won't take off well.

How many gallons do you have through this engine? How much compression does it have? Can you turn the flywheel over easily with your finger with the glow plug out?

Just sounds to me like it may be loosing compression on you. What plugs did you run? I had best performance out of that engine with the OS #8 plug.

I've put about 1 1/2 gallons through it. It turns pretty easy. I'm using the Duratrax plugs, its all our LHS carries.

I say lean the high in out more cause 209 is very low like vbgagnon said. and also i think u should try messen' w/ the lsn...............
