OS engines and Fuel

I bought a truck with a bum engine and I can swop it for an OS. Anyone had any of these motors? Can I mix 2litres of 5% nitro with 5 litrs of 15% nitro in order not to waist fuel that I bought?

You could but I wouldnt. The 15% will run very good in the mill you get. You run a risk of over dilluting or not having enough oil based on what each one has. Its best to just run the 15% in my opinion.

And as far as O.S. engines go, YES! They are some of the best around!

it doesn't sound like you've purchased the fuel yet (the 15%). If you are looking to mix 5% with 15% to make 10%, dont do it. Most everyone on this forum runs 20% nitro.

Whatever fuel you buy, make sure you buy quality. I bought cheap fuel ($12 a gallon) and it ultimately cost me an engine. Find out what your local hobby shop (lhs) sells. Then ask the owner what he run in his R/C car. Seriously, don't buy cheap fuel.

I run an OS in my T-maxx, I love it, it is a great engine. The OS carbs are excellent, they hold a tune very well. I would definately recommend an OS engine.

As the other guys stated, use a good quality fuel, and no don't mix the two different fuels. I would rather waste a little fuel as opposed to wasting an engine. I use Trinity Monster 20% nitro.
