This is turning out to be a nice motor for the price. The qualm I have is that the motor head is to small. It sits to far below the body to be of any use to cool the motor. Is there a replacement head i can use?

don't know.
Is it over heating? If not it probably doesn't need one. If so try cutting a whole in the front of the body if there isn't one already.

If you just don't like the look please ignore, and wait for links to aftermarket heads that I'm sure they make.

All I can say is be careful with that engine. I know of 3 that blew up before 2 gallons was ran through them. Of the 3, 2 shattered the connecing rod. The 3rd had the crank snap in two.

Keep the temps around 220-250.

.......You know I hear horror storys for just about every motor these days, always the connecting rod. I'm only a little over halfway through my first gallon, keep'n my fingers crossed. My temps are around 240.

Ok one more questions. I have the idle set just about right but its seems to idle way to high for about 20-30sec after I give it some gas before it comes down to normal idle rpms. Is this a to rich condition on the low neddle setting? Thanks for the help!

Actually, it's probably a to lean setting on your high and possibly your low.

It's more than likely your low though. It means it's starving for fuel after a high speed run which means that there isn't enough fuel coming in to compensate.

It should idle high after a high speed pass for maybe a couple seconds. Not 20-30 seconds.

Try pinching the fuel line about 2 inches from the carb while it's idling normal. It should act like it's going to die in 3-5 seconds. If it revs instantly, it's to lean on the low. If it takes longer than 5, then it's to rich.

Which needle do you adjust with, the high or low?

Got it all figured out. My low was way to rich! The factory setting onthe motor are way on the rich side. Even my high needed to be leaned out a bit. Got tons of torque and nice top end with the motor running about 230. Thanks for the help!
