OS .18 rod problems

I dont know if this was posted before but i think everyone should know.In the OS .18 bumpstart motors have a problem with the rod hitting the backplate and causeing the motor premature wear.Here is a thread explaining it.

is it just with the bumpstart style or is it with the pull start style aswell??

And is that with the .12, or just the .18? (debating tearing down the TZ .12 of mine...)

edit; Pulled my TZ .12 apart; it doesn't seem to have the issue that the .18 has (as it was designed expressly as a bumpstart, and not converted from pull to bump). Huge relief, as I've only gotten one tank thru it so far (haven't had much time, lol).

It sounds like it is more common in the bumpstart then pull start. My is a pull start and I am getting them just to be on the safe side. :smoke:
