Anyone try this out yet? I'm thinking about getting one in a couple of weeks. 6.5 mm carb., side exhaust, big head on it. I can finally use the pipes I still have from my gen 1 Maxx. Anyone with some info?

i havent gotten one yet but every engine i have gotten from OS has been a great running and tunning engine. When u get it and u break it in u can tell us how u like it. i still use a side exhaust engine, wasp .18.

Keep in mind it isn't putting out much more than the OS 15 cv-r(x). I thought about getting it, but the price tag was just to much for me. Especially for a strictly bashing truck. IMHO, the os 15 cv-r isn't enough for a maxx. Considering how much hp the 18 puts out, I would be inclined to think it isn't enough either.

Yep! Try it out, and let us know. Keep in mind that OS always under estimates the power output of their engines.

I can get it from Tower for $139. I'm gonna give it a try. Should be here next week.

A friend of mine just put that new OS .18 CV-r in his HPI MT. It was a screamer. Really made it move. A few other people came by, that same day and they had it in their RC10 GT ... it was wheelie happy. Had a hard time keeping the nose down. Lots of torque on hand.

the os .18 cv-rx kick a**. i'm still in break in but can see a differance from the pro .15 i had on the maxx. alot more power.

Thanks for the info guys, I'm getting one for my b-day next week. I'll let you know how it goes.
