:whhooo:I just put a wasp engine in my savage and as I was breaking it in I noticed a lot of oil comin out my exhaust almost looked like after run oil is that normal next question truck runs great until I hit the throttle then it dies but will idle for an entire tank any advice is it a tuning issue to rich to lean what last question I was driving my hellfire today it ran fine for a few minutes then it shut off and while I was tryin to restart it the motor locked up and wont turn at all I pulled the glow plug but it was no use truck has been stuck likew that all day and this is only my sixth tank of gas someone please help tell me how to get er goin again did i fry the motor or is there anything I can try to unlock the motor thanks you guys rock!

#1, it's too rich lean it out. don't do anymore idle tanks. Drive the truck and lean it just enough to push the truck without bogging. Leave it that way for at least 1/2 gallon.
Your Hellfire sounds like the piston is stuck at top dead center. Heat up the engine with a hair dryer or heat gun for 4-5 minutes. Then take some big pliers and clamp on the flywheel. Turn it until it frees up. That engine does not sound like it is broken in yet either.

Thank you that helps a lot I'm not a very good tuner still learning so how do I know how far to lean it and does it need to be running to do that and finally what settings would you recommend as a good starting point for that wasp 28

Just tune them to run smoothly, don't worry about counting turns and such. no two engines run the same needle settings.
The Wasp I can't help you with other than to just lean it until it runs right. The Wasp .28 has a horrible reputation, so I never messed with one.
It might be worth going to a hobby shop or finding someone close to you for a tuning tutorial. In person I could show you more in 5 minutes than I could sit here typing about all day.
