Hi all,

I just bought an Orion 3800 2 cell lipo to go with my mamba max. I set the cutoff to 6v on the mamba and am using the hyperion eos 0606i to charge. Everything worked fine for about two days. Then, this morning, when I tried to charge the battery I got a message saying "Check Batt Low Voltage". It seems to be saying that the voltage on my battery is 3.8V or close to that. The hyperion manual suggests balancing, but isn't clear on how to do it. Any advice? Is my battery just screwed?!
Thanks!

No, I disconnected it. The other thing, though, is that it was stuttering towards the end of the run last night. Does the ESC cut off entirely when the voltage gets low, or does it just cut off momentarily and then let you drive again?

It doesn't surprise me that it shutters a bit. Once it begins to do that you should definitely call it quits because the battery is borderline.

Plug the pack into your charger but don't start the charge cycle. Cycle thru the pack options until you can see what the pack voltage is. This will tell you if the LVC is set correctly on your Mamba Max. Its very possible the LVC is not set correctly. Also, double check that the charger is configured for 2S and not 3S, etc.

Did you set the LVC on the MM thru the Castle Link software or did you do it manually?

I set it through the Castle Link software for 6v, but I should probably go back and double check that it registered properly. The other two times I ran the car it seemed to work fine with the LVC, but is it possible that somehow the esc settings reverted?
When I hook up the battery to the charger I get Input: 12v; Output: 3.6v

So, I just double-checked the mamba through castle link and the voltage shutoff was set to 6V. I am running windows off bootcamp on a mac, so I don't know if there are any issues there. Other than that, the only other weird thing was an earthquake, but I'm assuming that's got nothing to do with it! ;)
