Next Wednesday I'm getting a used Losi XXX-NT, with a Mach .15 engine and a big cooling head and a tuned pipe (the pipe stock i think)...its in like perfect shape.

and i was wondering if any of you guys have had one of these trucks before. and i wanted some info on them like performace, engine life, durability, and anything else you can think of, because i want to know what I'm getting into...

b/c i have enough money to get that...or a brand new Traxxas RTR Stadium truck (Rustler i think) for like $300.

and the Losi is only $140 RTR...at 1st i thought the Losi was a POS when i saw the price...but the man at my LHS let me test drive it around the parking lot and it was awsome...

what do you guys think...the used, but very fast Losi-$140 ...or the Brand new Traxxas Rustler for $300???

I've had a Losi, The one you are interested in. The engine lasted to 2 gallons before i sold it. I broke the pullstarter once, and shattered the rear shock tower, Other than that, It held up great. It has a veryyyy Nice radio system that I still have, I subsituted another system to go with the NT for sale, It was nice too, but i'd rather have my computer radio, I knocked a few bucks off the FS price. Its a very nice truck with alot of hop ups these days. The rustler is a good truck too, But you will have some problems with tuning unless you buy it a bigger cooling head. It is alot of chunky plastic on it too, And i dont like the radio gear. I'd go with the losi and stick with A race bred RTR. This is my opinion, I hope you can find yourself a good truck and have fun. Later

ill go with the losi since it has the good radio and is already kinda hopped up a bit...but...what are some of the losi weaknesses...like what would be something that i would have to replace after a killer jump or something...like A-arms...rod ends and stuff like that.

basically what I'm trying to say is, that I'm a newb and have like $300 to spend, and I'm buying the losi for $140 and two gallons of gas for around $50, and wondering what kind of replacement parts i should buy ahead of time?

any kind of info would be great, thanks.

sounds like a really good deal...but does that $275 include shipping?

ill really think about it...but i can get a used one that runs great and everything for $140...but the differential is bad and the LHS is going to rebuild it for me for only $20...

so i can get the xxx-nt for $160...so its a really hard decision...new or used or new or used...well since i am a newbie...and i only have like $350 saved up I'm kinda keeping the prices low...but i will definetely tell my friends about your truck!

again...does the $275 include shipping? and where are you located?

Yea that is good for a xxx-nt and since it is under 200$ then you need nitro accessorys that should be less that $75 and if you dont like the hobby you didnt lose much and if you like the hobby buy another truck in a year or so.
