I have recently came across a Losi LST and I'm wondering what the thoughts are on it. The guy sent me an email with the pics and It looks alright. This is the quote from the email. Hes a local guy and is friends with my basher bud.

"losi lst comes with complete extra set wheels/tires, a-arms, ready to run, roto-start. $250"

Here are the pics.

Although I've never driven one, I've always like the layout and overall design. If I were in the market for a new MT I would purchase an LST.

It looks pretty sweet. I looked them up and they are like $670 with a DX3S. This particular one comes with a traxxas TQ3. That would make 3 of those remotes that I have.. I would up for a new reciever for my spektrum though. I just wanna know how durable they are. I think that its worth the money. He doenst know how much fuel has been ran through it. He just got it in a trade along with some other electric rcs.

They are as durable as you can get. IMO they will out-race a Savage any day. Way better weight distribution and handling.

That rig appears to be an Aftershock with a LST body. The Aftershock came with the black plastic shock bodies vs. the blue aluminum of the LST and LST2. The fact that there is no reverse servo confirms that in my mind as the LST and LST2 both have reverse. One other clue that it is an Aftershock: Lack of a high/low selector for the trans. But, you can not see the knob from that one shot of the chassis. Also, the mill appears to be the Aftershock's MACH 427 instead of the .26 that would have come in the LST (but not the LST2, which has the 427)

A new Aftershock is $370 with the correct RX2i radio system.

I have to agree with Rc Addict, that truck looks like a Losi Aftershock truck, with varous parts of a Losi Lst / Lst2.

I appreciate yall straightening that out for me. Thanks. Well then the next question would be is the aftershock a good truck? And what would be a good price to give for it if it is a good truck?

Aftershock is exactly the same as an LST. Except for the shocks, lack of reverse and no high/low. All the parts are the same. I've got an LST1 thats going on 4 years old and still a blast to drive. To be honest tough, I would pay the extra $100 for a new RTR Aftershock.

Wait, Isn't that truck on ebay? yeah, here: http://cgi.ebay.com/TEAM-LOSI-LST-RTR-MACH-427-NICE-WITH-EXTRAS_W0QQitemZ260424788155QQcmdZViewItemQQptZRadio_Control_Vehicles?hash=item3ca286e8bb&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65:16|66:2|39:1|240:1318|301:0|293:1|294:50 $300 shipped? just pay the extra $69 and get it new. If your LHS sells Losi I'm sure they would have one... And you'll get the JR XR2i radio instead of that Traxxas one.

It's a great basher - Very tough.
But it's best to land it on the wheels.

An aftershock can be made tough. Personally, aside from the two speed, the stripped trans is a better way to go. Less rotational mass and headache.

The engine appears to be a mach427 from the muggy, which has a larger carb venturi for more fuel/air intake over the stock LST2 engine. At least the muggy has the grey/green head... The AS engine was a black head (Losi M26SS) and held it's own pretty good, but had the same carb as the gold head 427 and old mach 26.

If it is an AS/LST1 though, I'd get RPM arms and lunsford turnbuckles all around. The LST1/AS arms are weaker than LST2 arms. Personally, I'd even change em out if they were LSt2 arms as they break easier than RPM's as well.

I do agree, yes it does seem to be an Aftershock.:D Although the Aftershock comes stock ewith an M26ss, not a Mach 427 which comes stock in an LST2.....so it either has a Muggy(silver head), also Losi 427 engine in it or an M26ss w/a silver cooling head on it. The stock LST2 MAch 427 comes w/an Orange cooling head. The LST1 came with a Mach .26 w/blue cooling head.;)

LOOKS LIKE A PRETTY GOOD BANG(truck) FOR THE BUCK THOUGH ! That's definately not a bad price, seeings how it's got a Losi 427 in it !

I appreciate all of you guys input. he sent me an email this morning saying there was a guy going to buy it as a roller and he was going to sell the engines for it. A mach 427 and the 26ss both for $70 one with a pipe.. one without. I bought 2 other rigs yesterday so I think I'm going to pass. I'm in love with my new revo platinum.. :D:hehe::hehe:

Holy crap, no kidding, so what kind of pipe is it.....do you know ? So does that mean both engines and pipe for $70 or $70 a piece and one w/a pipe ?
Do you know if he will sell just the pipe by itself, I don't really need either of the engines, I already have both of them.:D

I would buy that car for that price dude ! I got an aftershock and I take it to hell and back !!! For the abuse it cops compared to the bits I break it's the best car I ever had !!!
10/10 10/10 10/10 10/10

Just a note the lst2 has larger 8mm outer driveshaft ends and the hubs have bigger bearings than the aftershock. I have an aftershock which has been upgraded with lst2 driveshafts. I purchased the truck like this so I cannot say if the smaller driveshafts were a problem or not. Seems to be a very tough truck but The lunsford camber rods are a must for the upgraded rpm arms. The stock rpm camber rods are stainless and will snap right off flush with a moderate hit. I am a city basher so I have had my share of curb hits and the lunsfords have held up very well.
