I was playing around with OpenOffice.org 2.0 Beta and it really is powerful. They really worked the database part of it. I would certainly suggest this to anyone that wants to be compatible with MS Office but does not have 500 bucks to blow on the full blown product. I have played with this for a while and rarely run into a conflict between the 2 products. The built in PDF creation is a cool feature also. Remember Version 2.0 is still in Beta so your milage may vary. Oh yea its Frigin Free!! LOL

I am really looking forward to OO2.0. We have a few machines with Office but the majority of the machines at work run OpenOffice. I'm getting ready to roll out a new image and I've been trying to hold out for OO2.0 but it looks like it is still a few months out.

Yea where i work we are certainly lucky enough to have a licence for all microsoft OS's and Office packages. But once they finish OPen office 2.0 it certainly gives MS Office a run for the money.... but its free... LOL
