so I replaced the pull start on my sirio and the pull start pulls the way the nut slips, I've tried to reverse it and no go. Is there a way to make this work or am i gonna have to buy a new one way?

argh...problems,problems, problems:burp:

OK, very simply, the pullstart should pull so the crank will go clockwise when viewed from the BACK of the engine. The one way should be set in the starter shaft so that when it's turned clockwise, it bites and turns the shaft. If the one way is such that no matter which way you put it on there's no bite it's either shot or needs cleaning. To clean it, soak the one way in denatured alcohol or nitro wash for a little while. Then dry it off and shake all the alcohol out of it. Then soak it with light oil like 3-in1 oil. Then try it again. If it still doesn't work, the bearing is toast. BTW, you said you replaced the pull starter. Is the one way new too?

no one-way came with the pullstart and it does bite going counterclockwise and when i flip it the pull-start does not fit on the back....
