i have just replaced the clutch shoes. now the problem is that the wheels are just not stopping even with the idle position. if i turn the idle screw anti clock wise the engine shuts,so i think the idle was set correctly before. could be the issue with the clutch shoe. they are new.
any suggestions.
 
check your clutch assembly. sounds like its staying engaged.
 
I'm not sure if the savage .25 has shims in the clutch assembly but you might want to check that. If you forgot the shims that can cause you troubles also. Just a thought.
