when i started RCs i run on the dirt once. the T-max got so dirty it took 10 min to get it clean. so i tarted running on pavement. but you must avoid cracks and bumps. if you hit crack under high power, it will strip the transmission. of course you need to adjust things way different. like set the suspension so the frame is very low.
 
i just want an off road for driving on grass and stuff , i love my on road , nearlly finished breaking it in :) 1 tank of fuel to go :)
