RC Driving Style
Hey Guys,
I have been in this hobby thing here for about a year now, and I have a pretty good hand at the whole Monster Truck Scene! I even bought myself a MT2 for Christmas, just in case my SuperMaxx was down, I could still play with the guys. When I finally get back to the states, I want to try my hand at racing the Stadium Trucks. Anyway, to get on with my post! Nobody here in Okinawa Japan, is really into the OffRoad racing scene, not to mention I can barely get my friends together for a weekend bash. So, I have decided to get into On Road racing, since they do alot of that style of racing over here. Mostly Okinawan's though! They are very nice at the LHS, and each time I go in to pick something up in a round about way they get thier message across that there is a racing happening. Although I have never been. Which brings me to my question finally, what is a decent On Road car. I mean I am at a loss for this portion of RC's. Just to tell you guys, I'm only looking for Nitro, and would like to keep the price about the $400 range. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks Guys!!! Wish I would have bought a car instead of the MT2!! Oh Well, I'll just continue to add to my collection!!

For ur price range I recommend the HPI R40 or the Associated Ntc3. Both cars are good racing cars and the hop-ups are fairly easy to find.

A guy i bash w/ has a OFNA Ld3 and its stock and really kills alot of the stock cars out there

what does your LHS carry the most of? How much do you want to wrench to get it upgraded? where do you plan to race or bash? racing means that you would try to have a groomed track free of loose dirt. If it is like this then a Belt driven may be the choice for you. I myself had the NTC3 and I loved it. Very well thought out ride. The design and engineering was incredible. It is probably the most popular Touring car on the market. Think of factors like these and otheres and see what comes up. Good luck.

Woody when you decide what you are going to buy please post it. Wife just got her orders (awaiting mine still)(AF in case your wondering) and will be heading to Yokota Japan in Sept.
I figure I will also end up buying myself a Nitro Car also. I currently live in Alaska so my T-Maxx's are a dream. But I wouldn't mind getting into racing when I get over there.
I was thinking of getting a Kyosho after seeing someone post about buying it over in Japan is cheaper than here in the states.

I am not sure what you are asking in regards to price....do you mean 400 for the kit or the total amount you want to spend. If 400 is what you want to spend on the kit and you want to hang with the big boys get a Trinity Reflex Touring Team Only Kit. Then stick a Trinity Outlaw Black Pixi .12 in the car with a nice Trinity pipe and manifold and prepare to whip 99% of the people out there if your driving is up to handling all the power on tap.
