I just bought a new T-Maxx and upgraded the engine to an EBMods OS .18 I have babied it through the break in period and now I am ready to fine tune it.

I have seen some on board temperature gauges that tell the temp at the glow plug. Is it worth while installing one of the these? Do they help in tuning and taking care of the engine?

Any other tips in final tuning would be helpful thanks!

I've enver had a problem with the handheld temp readers.. you can't read it while your driving ayway, unless you just dont like carying around the little temp reader.

Buy the VENOM RACING on-board guage, it works great and shows the max temp it reached during a session.

i have used a few diffrent ones like traxxas and venom. and there is good and bad to them. on my on-road cars its hard to get a reading couse the top of the motor isnt cut out, so i kinda wish i had an on-board, though you need one for each car. but if you're running an mt, the head is exposed and its easy to get a good reading. i ruined both my on-boards running them in my old revo and jato. THEY ARE NOT WATER PROOF!! oops.. i have a small handheld that I've had for a long time and it works great

Great info! thanks It looks like I will be getting a handheld. Does anyone use the venom fail safe/temp/voltage meter?
