Well, we went down to the track today. I just bought a new bumper, got all my pieces back together.

Bad day from the start. 125cc fuel tank of back order... ITHGILEHNGILSHDGF <-- (Mumbling I think)

After putting it all back together, found out a rear bearing was in a million pieces.. Everyone out there having fun, and one P.O.'d person on the workbench. FINALLY get everything ready. One thing I didn't do, check the differential. What happens. Second lap of eating some hot bodies buggy, something starts to slip. I swore to myself it was the slipper clutch again. But I loctited the nut, so it couldn't move. It was perfectly set so.. What could it be... My day was done. Damn differential spun. Almost lost it too. I retightened it, it was fine. But lost my ONLY dang allen wrench that fit it. So after coming home and borrowing a friends tool, I got it fixed, not without finding out more damage.

Let's start again.. Here's what happened in order.

The bumper was the only new thing really. First lap? What happens?!!? Shock tower self destructed... Had to sign for it, 13 friggin` dollars, all they had was the FT Carbon one.. so.. Better than 18 for the aluminum. After putting that back together, go to remount the body. Fuel bottle blew in half... 2nd bottle I've destroyed... THEN To top it off, friggin rear of body basically destructed itself. My "tail" of my body waves at you now. Least my friend had fun I guess, until he blew a U-joint out on his buggy. But as I was working on it in a NICE SUNNY 75 degree day.. It starts to rain. This day of running just plain sucked.

I couldn't keep the thing from doing nose dives on the jumps, which caused my shock tower to destruct... GASTRGNEGOAHGPIHSFGKANSRGAHSIGH <--- (More mumbling)

Blew... Maybe friday I'll have the nervo to go back out again... Maybe not though. Really made me mad. Blue groove conditions also.. Dangit!

Bleh...

If I didn't know better, I'd ask if El Pirata was at your track. Sounds like you had one of his kind of days.

Someone espoused a mantra that might help you:

Break it, fix it, run it, break it, fix it, run it....

That is the life of our hobby.

That Sucks Hairy Balls. Go to the track next time and check your setup twice before beating up Some HOt Bodies buggies and $H*T....O ya....howd ya blow your fuel bottle in half?

I don't know how I kill fuel bottles... They just break at the top. I have some BAD luck with fuel bottles. They both broke at the top where they "screw" together. Bleh...

My setup was fine until I blew the rear shock tower into a million pieces :D

Ohh where ohh where... THAT'S WHO SNUCK UP ON US!!! Dang that El.. I knew that was him in that jeep looking thing :D

Actually no.... But anyways... This is the first "real" break in over a gallon of fuel. heheh It's not to bad now, over a nights sleep. I'm ready to put on a cheap clear body. Run the crap outta it again tommorow :D

Dummer man! I hate when I have days like that! Usually starts with one ride and goes right to the next. Always something stupid too!

AoDaLiZeD, all that abuse has caught up to you. :P

You said you kept doing nose dives off the jumps. I'm sure I'm telling you something you already know, but if you gun throttle in the air, the nose will pick up (hit the brakes and it will nose down). My Duratrax is a worthless jumper. If I don't gun it all the way over the jump, it takes a dump head first.

LMFAO That's a really good way to put it... ROFL

And I know what it is, it's the suspension being a ... well... nevermind that.. But I don't want to drag the ground, and if I stiffen it up more, i'll just have more trouble than I alreay am....

OMG when did you get that sig? That's great.. Nothin` says newbie like a max st
ROFL

431 posts probably means you're going to have to become IntermediateRob or ProRob or something.....

Hey, if you hit the breaks full with your Duratrax can you do a front flip?

massivex, 400+ posts of spam and 1 liners. I make up for it in real life -- I say next to nothing.

I've never had enough air to try a front flip. I think it would hit the ground and spray into little pieces. It's also hard to do much of anything with the rod in the torq16 broke in two pieces. ;)

Hmmm.... I hit a speedbump(A biggin... about a 4 incher...) at roughly medium-top speed... In the N-4tec... (scary sh*t...)

Hit the brakes, did a front flip and landed on all fours...

Might wanna try that sometime Rob...

Post counter? I don't care about that.. I just want the desription under my name to say something more... attractive. lol

As for doing front flips.. I've done that.. It's scary watching the rear end coming back over... LOL Specially with a body that's destroyed.. LOL

" NOT MY SHOCK TOWER!!! I PAID ALOT OF HARD EARNED.. Whew.... scary..." LOL

I haven't done any flips with mine yet. I also gave my duratrax stuff to my son. My ST is spare parts right now. I'm getting a 1/8 buggy and ever since, my son has bee busting to have a "buggy". He now has a 1/10 scale Maximum BX "buggy". The stadium struck was more fun to bash imo. I could also drop the engine back in the ST if he wants to run it. :p

I wish I could afford a buggy LOL

Those things are rabid. :)

If I got one it would have to be an OFNA :) I just love the idea of a .25 RTR :)

.25 is not race legal :(

I bought a Hot Bodies Lightning Pro for $340 (includes shipping). The only think it needs is a radio. The engine is a .21 from the savage. (Hot Bodies is a sister company with HPI).

The men in brown bring it to me Wednesday.
