Mine was on my doorstep when I got home.

The damage to the Revo box consisted of one corner crush and a little edge curl next to it. Like HB said, it could have easily been sold at a hobby shop for full fare. I got a bargain and am happy as can be. Yo da man Jon2. Thanks.

Well got through the break in. Same 2.5 really. The truck however is a breath of fresh air. Very different, I really really like the suspension. I am really liking this truck so far, other than the hot running engine. I even richened it up from stock and hacked the body and still ran hot.

Guess I will be looking into the new O.S. 18 for REVO.

always wanted to try one of the O.S. enigines.

will the sirio 23 or Picco 21 fit in there?
 
I like to do 50/50 grinds on curbs with my REVO. I can slide it for about 20ft+. It is taking it's toll after a few tanks on the front A-arms as the hang lower than the skids.

Do you plan on putting the HCR parts on ? I do like the vent holes for the Tank and the pullstart.
 
Did you sleep with it last night?
I know how you are the first day or two after you get a new toy :p:

LMAO, she was actually impressed with it. Her words were "Wow that thing drives a lot betther than that other one". She said the paint job was pretty also :smoke: .

Deffinitely putting the HCR parts on it. I might even get the HCR head if the engine keeps getting too hot (as I suspect it will). More to come...........

Damn that is classic. I am lucky to have an understanding wife. SHe got in the hobby with me as well.Maybe not as much as mee but she likes it

damn your lucky i have to send my girl shoppin all the time in order for me to race mine but it's WORTH IT :devious:
 
SHe is cool like that. I am the one wrenching on her ride most of the time but she likes to watch and learn for herself.

How hot is it getting? my 2.5r has been doing very well not going above 250 and usually around 220-230. Maybe you need to flush out your carb. i had to do that on mine.

flush my carb, like you mean there might be debris.

btw I do not have a temp gun but I imagine with my spit test it is about 290-300.
 
Hey Humbolt, traxxas released a bulliten or two on the revo and one stated that debris from the tank(plastic from a nipple being threaded into the tank) might block the high speed needle port. I think it is on the traxxas bullitin board, and also on maxxtraxx. Check it out, gives you an idea what to look for. :cheers:

I did check my tank and there was no plastic before I started it, so my question is how did it get logged into my HSN?
 
OOOPPPSSS :shrug: I must have read it here, I just assumed you had not read it yet so it must be on another site! Anyway I an about to become an owner of a revo myself, traded Jon a beautiful x5 roller for one. I don't know much about the revo yet, but will do some research in the near future!! I really want to trade out the 2.5 for a big block like a picco .21 p2...something along those lines. I think the 2.5r will end up on ebay or sold in the forums. My friend has the 2.5 in his maxx, and it really is a very good engine, lots of power and very user friendly, but I need the noise and roar of the bigger engine. This revo was going to be for my son, but he will have to wait until xmas for one(he is 10 I might just get him a stampede or rustler..alot more reliable for a youngster and he could run it by himself) Anyway keep us posted on the revo and what you think of it.

you should pick up a temp gun. The duratrash one is only 25 bux now.
When mine got something in it it wouldn't even start unless it was like 5 turns out so i knew there was something wrong before i ran it. I took out the hsn, put my thumb over the hole and flushed some nitro through it.
