I have what appears to be a good shape old blast. My main concern is if this can take a lipo battery?

Now I'm a nookie to boating, but there is a lot of info on blast..
lipo in blast- traxxas forums
That just sick. It's like the guy who hugs and kisses cars. 🤮🤣😆

I'm gonna start with the current blast has an optional 2s lipo.

Given how a 2s is 7.4v and the nimh it comes with is 7.2 i would try it. Just bring it in and check temps every few minutes.

With that I would run it. Just don't go over 2s. Besides I see 3s blasts that people can't get to track straight.

Happy motor boating. I hope to get this same boat soon.

Thanks, I had forgotten low voltage alarms were a thing. I think I will get one of the cheap ones and try it out.
