I have an old T Maxx with the pro .15 in it and I want to gradually upgrade it to the 2.5 or event the 2.5r. What suspension and drivetrain parts are required other then the engine and the upgrade kit? I want to make it a wide maxx and beef up the required parts. Thanks

4908 driveshafts, carriers, turnbuckles and diffs. Rpm a-arms. Forward only conversion for the tranny. Slide carb linkage and either a 3.3, O.S. .18, .21, or a picco .26. The two later engines are beasts, which like to eat your drivetrain for lunch. You'll also need 2, 4908 rear center shafts. One for the front of your rig, one for the back. After all these upgrades, not to mention servos, bellcrank and the other stuff you need to get it up to snuff with the new one, you'll have almost as much into yours as a new one costs. Just something to consider.

I don't want to get crazy with it I just a more recent version truck. So I was going to do wide max with upgraded traxxas driveshafts and arms. Upgrade kit to convert engine to a 2.5r do an FOC. I am probably going to keep everything else the same. Why would I need new servos? I have a new futaba throttle servo and was going to upgrade my steering servo. What else do I need? Should I do the clutch upgrade to my spurr gear? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

You can have a 2.5 with just the engine conv and wider a-arms. The 2.5r is all revo-spec driveline.

You can run the stock gears no problem if they're meshed right, the 2.5 won't hurt 'em.
