I'm sick of yanking on a cord and I broke my last pull start today, so I need to get or make a drill start for my maxx.

Is the little wand just a drill attatchment? It looks like some of them are just a ball end allen wrench and some look lie a flathead screwdriver. What's thestory here? Inform the newb if you would...

no its not a drill there is an electric starting motor that connects to your motor there is a wiring harness that the wand plugs into and when you push the button it lights glow plug and turns the starter

to the best of my knowledge u will need to go with the ez start 2(as rp5h mentioned above) .the way the maxx is built does not allow for a roto/drill start unless u buy a specific rear shock tower that has a recess in the right side to access it .but I'm no:) expert so maybe someone can prove me wrong?

I got one on friday. It works fine and is offset so the rod goes through the tower. Problem is I don't have a cordless drill that spins fast enough to start it. I have to bring it into the shop every time it dies, which is VERY often.
Looks like a good excuse to buy more tools!:hehe:

I used a pull sart for a while, but it broke in a day, plus it's really hard to start and by the time it was running with the pullstart, I was ready for a nap.

Overall, the starter plate and the bit were a $19 total investment and makes life a ton easier.
