Hey guys just need some help with the tuning of my P2 every thing is fine with the high speed running and needle but low speed is a different story so lets start. The engine starts with a few tuggs of the cord and idles just beautifully BUT if i were to hit the throttle full on at stand still it will cough and splurt and just stall but once up to speed it works just fine at wide open throttle and it says on my destructions that the low speed needle should be flush with the brass sleeve but i dont have a brass sleeve anywhere i do hope some one can help A.S.A.P any help is good help

By the way its all stock on my truck including pipe but thats not the prob as I've tried my friends .21 pipe and no joy oh and its brand new

Ok will play with the LSN a little more maybe i was making to big of an adjustment when i was trying before. Any more input would be great thanx

You should make sure that when you accelerate it is snappy and there is plenty of smoke. If you mash the throttle and it hesisates for a second then takes off like a bat out of hell you are too lean. Also if you are too lean you are going to be running hotter than normal.

there is hardly any smoke when i mash the throttle hard from still it coughs at me but when its going high speed there is plenty of smoke but like i said I'm not to sure about the needles but i just read another thread on here and the needle settings were there but they are diff from the instructions that came with the engine but my high speeds are fine its when i mash the throttle at stand still that it coughs and dies on me wich leeds me to the LSN

try richening it, if there is barely any smoke when you mash the throttle, it sounds lean. But imo it would be best to richen everything to your stock settings and then retune from there!
