ofna linkage kit help brakes??

i just installed a ofna likkage kit onto my savage 21 and its suppost to help the brakes right?? well i still have completely no brakes. like when its not started and i jsut push it a little with my foot and hit the brakes with the controller, nothing happens. and the receiver and everything is on cause i see the arm thing that goes to the carb moving. please help. do i need to get new brake pads or somethin?

i just checked it and it is getting squeezed just a little though. should i titen the screws that hold on the calibers? will that help?thanks

It sounds like you need to either adjust your linkages, or your servo trim settings, or a combination of both.
 
While you are adjusting the brakes to engage, turn your spur gear as you are applying the brakes. It should be a strong "catch" no slipping at all from the spur gear.

It can be a bit tricky so adjust your linkage a little at a time, apply the brakes and try to turn the spurgear.
