Tell me if 50 dollars for a ofna 1/8 buggy is good. the thing is brand new but has no engine or radio. what engine should i stick in it without going over 200 dollars?

Thanks Zachary

$50? Not bad! Assuming it's in good working order, an Ofna engine like the Hyper 8 port would do great. Now, as for a radio, an Airtronics unit could be had fairly decently. You might have to raise your budget by about $25 or so to complete it.

Well I just found out its the ofna Violator Buggy! for only 48 dollars!

That probably a good deal....be aware that buggy that has sat for awhile will need a complete overhaul....bearings and fluids and such. But they make great buggies.

Not bad at all, and you managed to get the washing machine in the shot, too! I'd say you got a really great score on the buggy.

Hey i'll give you $55 for it!

Decent buggys, there are a TON of mills for around $200....race or bash? if your just bashing, you can go the .28 route. Dont forget a quality pipe too.

Can you guys by any chance tell me what kind of buggy that is? I had thought it was a Ofna Violator, but I downloaded the manual and the Violator is different then mine.:surrender Any ideas would be great! Thanks:bow:

Zachary.

Okay well today I was looking around everywhere and I found it! What the buggy is, is a Ofna Ultra LX One Pro. Not top of the line but should be fine for bashing around my house and racing my buddies raze. Question though about the servos, how good is the Ofna SX-0001 servo (throttle) and a Hitec HS-645MG (steering) And the engine I'm thinking of putting in it is the Ofna .32 engine for only 150 dollars. One last question is where is a good place online for parts? My lhs doesn't carry any parts for it and tower doesn't either, oh ya and where can i get a manual? Thanks

They are in the Ofna building....so they have or can get any parts you need.

Okay well I ripped the thing apart so i could check all the diffs and barings and was wondering what kind of grease do i grease the diff with they seem to be getting pretty dry.

Also whats the difference between the Ultra Lx Pro, Ultra LX One, And the Ultra Lx Comp?

You will want to use silicone oil for the diffs....your LHS can help you out or amainhobbies.com has a good selection. I would replace the bearings if you can swing it.....or clean them up good, a little wd 40 works nice

I'm going to get barring from fast eddie for the whole buggy

Eddie has the man. online i'm sure. There are not a TON of differences between those buggys, and no, its not a Pirate. Ebay is teeming with all the parts you'll need. I built up a truggy a couple years back based off of a similar buggy. Decent to beat on. The 645 is a slow, but strong metal geared servo, perfect for what you need. The Ofna servo is OK for throttle/brake duties. Maybe a little weak, but ok for bashing!!!
