The motor comes with a p3 glow plug, the problem is I had to get a p6 because the great people at the LHS told me they don't make a p3, even after I argued with them and had them take a new engine out of the box to prove them wrong, they saw it was a p3 and still told me that they could not get them, O.S. only supplies them with new motors? Well even after I retuned my motor the thing still will not idel. It is running around 230-240 deg. but if it sits for more than a couple of seconds it loads up and dies . I am running 20% fuel. Also if I switch to 30% do I need to add the shim that came with the motor. Could some one explain what exactly the glow plug does after the engine is up to temp. I am lost. Oh ya I have the 2050 pipe also. Oh ya, I live in Minnesota and this happened in the summer as well as last Wed. at a indoor track. I am not running it in the snow or out in the cold if that makes a differance or not.

Ya thats what I thought. I knew they were brain dead from the get go. But its the only place close to were I live. I hate going there I usually only buy fuel from them.

Wow that is a good price. considering I spent 16.87 for two and not what I wanted anyway.

It sounds like your LHS is too damned lazy to do much of anything, Lumpy. If I were you, my business would be taken on-line. I spent about $1500 on an order at tower hobbies about 5 months ago. Had I ordered the same exact stuff locally; $2200 easily.

And you're darned right I rubbed the LHS's nose in it (when I went to get fuel). If they didn't charge so much, and knew that the part numbers I wanted were the right ones (there's a difference between a bottle of trinity 20% and 30%), I'd have happily spent that money there. Instead, Tower got my business.

(end rant, lol)

I know what you mean Heartbreak.
My local hobby shops don't even carry Kyosho parts and I have four Kyosho buggies and two Kyosho monster trucks (all nitro). The only Kyosho vehicle they carry is the new half eight. I have about four electric vehicles and they do happen to carry parts for one of the Associated cars, so almost all my shopping is done on line. I can't even get quality engines from them, all they sell are XTM and maybe one or two OS (which I stopped buying because of bearing problems).
I did throw them a bone once when I bought an engine for my airplane.
(end of add-on rant)

I'm glad my LHS doesn't suck. they can get parts in for any of the cars i have except my xb8, but that one i stock parts for myself.

anyway, you want to run the p3 in that motor, especially indoors where its usually cooler and a tight layout, both of which lend well to a hot plug.

You think that's bad... The one I used to work at only carries Losi, Dynamite, and a handful of others. None of the brands that I have. Pretty much, if it ain't a race vehicle, or if it has two wheels and flies (or none and floats) they want nothin to do with it. That was the primary reason I quit that place. Got tired of the hassle.

Now, the other two in the area.. One sorta knows their stuff, but you have to research part numbers ahead of time so they order the right stuff (and even then, if they have to order it, you have to get in line... which means you wait for months, and even then, you don't have any real promise that you'll get it. Only a 'maybe'.). The 3rd... Well, it's strictly order-only, unless it's aircraft stuff... Then it's all on-hand. Neither of them carry Turbo plugs. Which means I'm messed over if I pop a plug.

The major plus about Tower is, anything I order gets here within two days via ground.

Sorry for the thread derailing... Back to topic...

My OS .21 (VZR-II Turbo) came with, I think it's a P6. I'd have to take the plug out to check to make sure. It runs pretty nicely, altho getting it started at first was a nightmare and a half.
