i got my tz installed did the break in wow gains power after every tank it does wheelies at half throttle holds a tune very very well a big upgrade from the trx 2.5 very reliable starts on 1-2 pulls of the pull start highest temp i ran was today though it hit 266 degrees but thats after my air fillter was black from the dust when it was a fresh air filter it ran in the 220s also leveled out the balance very well in the revo I'm just very impressed with the motor next I'm gonna do is put a new pipe on it i was thinking about the trinity high flow and if i do do i use the big block header or the small block header with the tz?

Most of the guy's i've seen running the O.S. 18 tz or tm stick with the stock Traxxas header and upgrade the pipe. I haven't heard any of them complaining about the way the stock header performs.

I just bought "EBay" a OS .18tm for my Revo tonight...When I get it in I'm gonna run the stock pipe & header for now..But I'll be picking up a Trinity Pipe setup for it as soon as my LHS gets them in stock again....Everyone loves the Trinity pipe over on www.traxxas.com forums for their Revo's no matter that engine they are running. Heck the Trinity pipe must be great, no one has them instock now, not even Trinity....From what I've heard they really boost your lowend power alot...And a lowend boost on a OS 18 will mean wheelie city, lol...

i bought a siro .18tx off ebay bout a month ago for my revo. its in my t-maxx now. this motor is insane, awesome power, talk about wheelie city, anyway, i called trinity today and finally they got an exhaust manifold to fit in my revo. like you said j-daddy, these pipes are hard to keep in stock. i can't wait to get it in my revo....

I have found that the Trinity header pipe is a little small for the OS18 TM/TZ engine with the supplied "gassket". It seems that the exhasust flange diameter on the OS engine is just a little bit larger than the 2.5R and the trinity pipe header ID is just a little smaller than the stock header. I have torn/destroyed two header/engine gasskets with very little effort trying to get the Trinity header to attach to the engine. I have not found a silicone ring to fix this. I have reverted back to the stock header. Fit is still a little tight but seems to work ok.
