Saturday was my first RC day in a long time. It felt great to get the stuff out and use it!!
I took to with me, the MGT 4.60 SE and the Mayhem buggy with a new O.S. RG.
The MGT is still stock (I have a new pipe, side exhaust header, FOC, springs, and other goodies for it...just haven't installed them yet )

Anyways... I installed the O.S. back in the summer and never ran it.
I did oil it up.. that is about it.
Sat. I pulled the plug, put about 4 drops of ARO in her, and cycled it through a couple of times. It was slightly stubborn the first time, but she cranked right up. I left the ignitor in and ran it for a whole tank. It was temping around 110 degrees. It was around 70 outside.. so I figured that it should be getting hotter than that. Second tank, I leaned it out and ran it a little harder to get it up to temp. It got up to 205-210 I think by the end of the second tank.

I just wanted to say (and I am going about the long way to do so) that I have only cranked that motor twice, and I can already tell that it is going to be the best engine I have ever owned.

I have experience with : Traxxas Pro .15, 2.5, Megatech's M16, TT .21, Mach .26, TT.28, and Hpi's .25. The O.S. is on top, followed by the TT.21 and Mach .26. I have not had any problems with the mach or the tt .21.
For some reason, I cannot tune the TT .28 to save my life. I am still working on it. I can't seen to get it to idle like I want. It runs fine, but like to die when the truck isnt' moving. I raise and lower the idle to no avail. hahaha

Long story short.. I wish I could have a good engine in every vehicle.
For those of you that get frustrated with nitro, get rid of your engine and buy one that is dependable. Buy an O.S.

I really like the OS RG. I broke one in for a friend of mine and combined with the OS T2050 pipe, made for a very smooth revving engine. I was amazed that we ran a little over a quart through the engine that day and rarely had to make any adjustments to the needles. Too bad the RG is discontinued.

They now have the .21 VG engine, its also a great deal at about $140. I'd like to know if its as reliable as the RG was...

I saw it my LHS. Looks like the older VZ engines a little. I was considering that for one of my Storms. Looks like a great engine to bash with.

I hope the VG is reliable. I now want to sell all of my engines and get some new ones!!!

The RG is a good one. Not the most powerful out there, but is definitely dependable.

I own two. One is in my revo. The other is sitting in a baggy. I used to run one in my savage and one in my mammoth. I felt the need for more power and upped the engine sizes in those two.

My other OS that's in a baggy is 3 years old. I had it pinched by osrocket at 12 gallons. I replaced the bearings at 14 gallons and I haven't run it since.

The one in my revo is one I bought off a mod here for around $100 new. It has about 4 gallons or so on it. It was the one in my savage. Runs like a champ.

They don't like to run with high temps though. Anything over 250-260 and you loose performance.

A friend of mine broke two of them. Snapped the con-rods before he got to a gallon with either. I think he was running too hard and too rich too early. He liked WOT and did it a lot after about 8-10 tanks on his maxx.

Mine run best with an OS #8 plug. #3's are too hot and cause detonation. That makes it not give very good power. When I threw a #8 in it, it was like a totally new engine. Tuned a lot easier, started easier, had a lot more power and ran cooler. The #3 was making the fuel explode too early in the rotation of the crank and was making the engine fight itself on the upstroke. I even had the thing start backwards a couple times running the #3's. Totally screwed up my OWB.

Great Mill.... I got mine about 2 years ago... the RGX . I only have a couple of gallons through it.. but it has got to be the most reliable mill I have right now... as far as starting up easy and running like a scalded dog. In fact my brother in law wants to buy the buggy that the RG is installed and I really want to keep the mill. The buggy I can part with.... but I think he wants to buy it as a package deal..... I may not be able to part with it.
