was wondering if anyone knows anything on this engine would it be a good engine to put in a tmaxx 4907 with a 3.3 what kinda power does the o.s make

Its a good motor, with good power, but wont drop into the tmaxx without modification including a big block kit.

cmon one of you r/c guru's must know something about this engine i heard its pretty fast

would i need to upgrade my drive shafts or axles for this motor

You don't need everything that was on that web page, like for me, when i get mine going I'm only getting chassis, chassis brasses, center drive shafts, and possibly the other drive shafts, but all you really need is that extra room were the big blocks are bigger engines...

your pretty much buying an entire chassis, that is the difference between the 2.5 and 3.3, is some say the 3.3 has a longer chassis than the 2.5, and of course there is a difference in the engines, but that should be what you are looking for, as long as the ends fit on, the diff halfs, and you bolt on all the guts onto the chasis, should be fine you imagine all your doing is hooking the front and rear, all the guts and engine, if i am correct, the main differences between the 2.5 and 3.3 is chassis and engine, witch you would be putting that extended chassis in, but wait for a few more answers maybe someone has a different opinion you know...

it says mine is 30mm longer then the old one

but i heard from someone its just in the front rear is same

The engine itself is one of OS's biggest failures. Yes it runs ok and tunes nice and makes ok torque but that's it. It's main downfall is the nickle plated sleeve, I don't know why OS cheaped out on this as a chrome liner is far superior to nickle. Engines like the Picco .28 and LRP .28 will outlast and outrun the OS .30 any day.

Yeah I'm sure the front and rear are the same, well I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure, see mine is the 2.5 design, but instead of having the original 2.5 witch is about blown, i have the 2.5r engine, same thing really but a way better cooling head, and has been well taken care of, so some of this i can't help with when it comes to having one and knowing from hands on....

You are correct the front is longer...ok you will need a bigblock chassis that is longer in the rear. The one from Fastlane Machine is bad ass. Mine is from ACNC but is no longer made. The kit comes with the longer drive shaft and engine mount normally. You will need to beef up the entire driveline...gearbox internals and diffs. Metal driveshafts all around is a must. I can post up some pictures on mine if you want mine is pretty much done the way I wanted it. It took me two years to scrape all the parts together. Not a cheap project.

Ok as per requested I went out and took a few pictures. Had to be quick since it is raining a bit.

I also use an 1/8 scale spur gear from an HPI Savage X modded tranny top shaft and different slipper plates to make it work. Took a bit of thinking to get it all to work but is great now.

Thanks it took a lot of time and waiting on parts. I have been working on it off and on for 2 1/2 years. It was just something I wanted to do. I know the T-Maxx is not the best platform out there but it is a hell of a lot of fun now!

how do you order from fastlane do youhave to call them

you got me wanting to build my truck before i even break it in lol

I order most of my FLM stuff from three places. RC-Direct, RC Monster and Stormer Hobbies. I went with the hybrid bulkheads and the Ofna Spyder 6 gear diffs. The whole truck is built to be pretty but also damn tough. There are a few little minor things I still intend to do with it but all in time.
