I know they discontinued thes motors but just wondering if any1 had or knows where to get a rebuild kit for it... or can tell me if i put a os.28 motor on there if itll be too much.. i have an 1/8th scale stadium buggy that is almost made of all custom parts so i can't really put a name on it, really i dont know what it is but it was fast until i broke the connecting rod

The 1/8 scale should host big block mounts and if so you can stick an OS .28 on it. If you do hold it where you want it to go my friend cuz its gonna be even faster!

The OS21RG's were a reliable engine, but not all that powerful. If you were happy with it's performance, pickup an XTM 24.7. Usually pretty cheap on ebay and marginally more powerful than a 21RG.

I've had 3 21 RG's and 2 XTM 24.7's over the years for various vehicles. Personally, on a 1/8 4wd ST, I'd go with something that had a bit more pep to it anyway. The 21RG was a great basher buggy engine though.

Just curious, what's wrong with yours? Lose compression? If so, you could get it pinched for $25 and throw some new bearings in it to get a few more gallons of life out of it. I've gotten 3+ gallons on a 21RG that was pinched by rayaracing.com.
