I got the O.S. .18TM for my tmaxx, after break in i even added a extra tank of break in just to be sure. Then i got down to tearing ass with the thing, and man does that thing go. When it switches into second gear it pulls a insane wheelie even on a loose dirt surface. On about the second tank after break in i chewed up the forward gear in the 3.3 transmission. Then on about the fifth or sixth tank after break in i chewed up another gear. So now i bought the forward only conversion and will be installing soon, hoping that this will solve my gear eating maxx. Please if you have any suggestions please post. happy easter

The FOC should hale reduce the rotating mass overall and that will in deed help the problem. Those little gears really do have a lot of pressure on them. Just try to make darn sure you line up the gears correctly and use the whole piece of paper to set the gap when rebuilding and that should ease your parts pain a bit.

I ran a good 4-5 gallons with my 18TM in my revo after installing the FOC. I didn't have a problem with any of the trans gears until about 7 gallons in. But I had installed a XTM 24.7 BB. Then I burned up the top two speed gear. I figure after 7 gallons of abuse, something was bound to let go.

I've run about another 1/2 gallon through it since without issues.

You may want to loosen your slipper up a tad just to help take some of the jarring out of the driveline.

what a diffrence with the foc, now the truck almost flips onto it's back going into second...

It elminates Reverse.

These are monster trucks, they don't back up, they run over things ;) Reverse just seems to be more problematic on nitros comapred to electrics.

As for the OS.18TM, I'm not sure how many tanks I put on mine but I never had an issue. But I have the FOC as well.

i also put in the foc and i love it no more servo going crazy clicking or glitching and it improves the strengh overall of the tranny, and its true that when it hits 2 gear this mother fuc$er flies out of control, sweet!!!!!!!
