As most of you no I bought a nitro T MAXX in NOV 07 and stripped it down to the chassis and built her back like I wanted. HHere are the mods./
MIP big bore shocks w/50 weight
New Era shock towers

also all new electronics just stock though. I want a new radio.
and I am getting anc Bulks to finish her up. I love it and it is incredible off jumps and handles awsome. It will drag a 3.3 Maxx like its sitting still and I felt bad for my buddy w/a 2.5R that thought he had a chance, I am not trying to talk crap or anything. Thanks to you guys who helped me figure things out. What else can you guys think of ?? Or am I good for now? Wayne:second_place:
 
about the only other things is aluminum skids,not for bling but they help tie the chassis together and reduce flex.do you have a 6v pack for the electrics, your sevos have more torque and work faster with one? how about a failsafe and throttle return spring? runaways suck!

It all started in Nov and just got her going aroung Marh 10th
 
I am stupid when it comes to ekectronics, I have a fail safe but not installed yet. I have a center skid and stock feont and rear. Tell me what I need for a hump pack on my rig, What about the 6 volt pack????

get one of those trick color traxxas chassis

6 volt is a hump pack i have the traxxas one in my revo and the one made for a 3.3 tmaxx in my nitro mt

traxxas makes coool anodised chassis
 
5 cell hump pack is 6V. It will eliminate the battery pack, and provide longer and stronger servo power. Go for 1200 mAH or higher, NiMH. I have a Viper 1400 in mine.
 
Well I will tell you then. My truck has a new tranny with RRP FOC in it and the new clutch slipper set up.What is the deal? It hardley pulls forward now, on my 2nd tank since rebuild. HELP gyts, is it needing to be adjusted some Thanks guys

It almost sounds like ur slipper clutch is waaaaaaaaaayyyyy too loose. or the grip pegs aren't good or somethuing.
 
I agree with checking the slipper. Tighten it down good, then back it off 1/4 turn and try it, then set the sweet spot for good acceleration. Other than that, check you CB and shoes. Scuff off any glaze on both, and just make sure everything looks right in there.
 
I'd steer clear of aluminum front/rear skids. It's good for a center one though, and aluminum chassis rails.

Get Rc Solutions spring steel skids: Front Rear

I really liked those skids when I had them. I stepped it up a notch though and put rubber grommets between the skid/bulkhead to provide additional impact absorbsion. Did a really great job at keeping the bulks safe and the truck solid.
 
It was the slipper. I did an adjustment and now shes mad as hell! But man I think I am going to sell or trade it for an Electric truck or truggy. It has to be an E truck and equal value.
 
I agree with olds about the RCS skids. I've had aluminum and they will bend and stay bent if you hit something the right way. I've had RCS skids on my "to do" list for a long time and I just ordered them yesterday.
 
It's part of the learning curve, TWOCANE. Look how much you've learned in a short time. Sure, there's less aggravation with an electric, but nothing takes care of the RC fix like the sound of a sweet running engine and seeing and smelling nitro exhaust.
 
True I just have those days where she is a straight PITA. Man she was running like crap and the brakes were not right. It was the batteries, can someone send me the link to the best hump pack thats rechargable.

I have the Viper 1400 NiMH. About $30, I think.
