I recommend the hpi flux esc/motor combo. I've heard good things about it. It's not waterproof, so don't get it wet.

Id stick with a Castle Creations esc combo personally.

+1. Seriously, I'd opt for the Mamba Monster. It's specifically made for large and heavy rigs.

I have the Novak 6.5 HV system in my EMAXX and it works great, never had any problems with it, The Castle Monster Max would be another good choice.
