Has any one used one of these ? I am thinking of getting a new cooling head for my Savage X and would like any inputs you all might have. I am changing because I do not like the purple one.
 
I have one of these on my OS VZ-R II (it's the head for the S-25/F4.1). It works just as they say; lowers the temps considerably.
 
I bought one from ACNCM and it didn't fit the 4.6. They're sending me another one for the .28, saying it should fit the Savage X 4.6.
I've used ACNCM's heads in the past and have been totally pleased. My new one should be here tomorrow or the next day, and I'll let you know if it fits the 4.6.
 
Here's the scoop. I got the new head for a .28. They thought it might fit. It's a lot closer than the last one, but it's still the wrong one. Obviously they don't have the exact fit yet for the Savage X with the 4.6.
I also want to do the break in with the stock head, rather than run it cooler with the big one.
