alright weel I've had this problem on my lst 1 before after running an axial .28 and an lrp z.28 spec 3 and i have all the upgrades...
it is most likely your clutch shoes for your second speed gear they may be burned out...
if this is not the case try rebuilding the mach 427 that is in it. or get a new engine...
everyone gets a tranny problem once in a while with their lst, but it usually is a part related problem insted of something simple
try out new clutch shoes for your engine and for the second gear, and see what happens!

Finally, I got it to shift! Thank all of you for the help.
I adjusted the 2-speed screws between the spur gears. I am not used to having two of to adjust. Hopefully I adjusted both, it sure is difficult to tell if you adjusted both screws instead of one.
Meanwhile, I will order a new one-way bearing and clutch to have for down the road. Just in case.
