I am looking to buy a new rc truck or buggie. As the title states, I want to avoid anything made in China, or having anything to do with China. It doesn't have to be made in America, as I know that's a mythical creature these days. But something non Chinese is good. Any thoughts on this matter would be greatly appreciated

Kyosho and Yokomo are made in Japan.

Not much is not made in China any more.

If your getting into racing, Kyosho has the best deal on buggies right now. About $100 less than everyone else.

I just bought two Kyosho cars, a mini z and a first mini z. Unfortunately, these were made in China. It seems they no longer make their cars in Japan.

Kyosho sends their stuff to China to be made, yes. But the quality of the stuff they sell is still spot on. The Turbo Scorpion I have is by far the best made kit I have ever assembled, and it was made in China.

I assume by "not made in China" you mean you don't want some no-name brand piece of dog ####.

Do you want a RTR? Or do you prefer to build it yourself?

My overall favorite RC's have to be my Kyosho buggies, but my RC10 B4 is a sentimental fav. One of my favorite builds from a kit so far has been the Axial Ryft kit. One of my favorite RC's to hop-up is the Axial SCX24's. The 24's are just a blast to drive too. My favorite basher has to be the 6S Arrma Kraton, although the 3S Arrma Granite is a lot of fun to drive until it throws a driveshaft.

If I read the OP right and our thinking is similar, it’s more like an ideological or ethical choice.

I have no doubts there are very high-quality products made in China but I avoid anything made in the PRC when I can. I know it’s not possible 100% but it’s a factor I consider when comparing products.

Team Associated kits are made in Taiwan. Some of their components come from China but the spare parts bags most often say ”Made in Taiwan”. That’s good enough for me.

The OP made this thread and never returned. Dead thread.
